• Incentivise faster discharge processes with better community care follow-up.

2. Tackle Staff Shortages Head-On

• Fund training and recruitment of more doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals — especially in rural and outer-suburban areas.
• Create retention bonuses and mental health support for frontline healthcare workers to reduce burnout.
• Offer fast-tracked visas and pathways to permanent residency for qualified overseas-trained professionals.

3. Lift the Pressure Off Families and Small Businesses

• Simplify small business tax reporting and reduce compliance costs.
• Raise the tax-free threshold to give low-income earners more breathing room.
• Offer targeted tax credits or rebates for essential expenses like childcare, education, or energy bills.
